Tim played Violin and Bouzouki, and composed for the band who toured and played festivals in Spain, Portugal, Belgium and the UK. The distinctly folk & Mediaeval undercurrent to the band is something that continues to pervade a certain part of the Perkisound machine to this day, and TP’s first official solo Album ---------- (coming soon!) bears the musical legacy of this period.
More recently in terms of performance, Tim has been involved with 18th. Century English Dance band “Boldwood”, contributing bouzouki and guitar to their “Feet don’t fail Me now” debut CD, and is active as an electric fiddle player in his own band, “The Marsh town Stompers”.
In the field of contemporary classical music, Tim has written for a number of ensembles, was commissioned by the Northampton Symphony Orchestra for their millennium concert at Northampton’s Derngate centre, in 2000 and provided music “Bending Glass” (Bassoon and strings) for a Palladio evening as part of the Hungerford Arts festival 2009.
